World Ag Expo 2026

World Ag Expo 2026 in Tulare County, California, spans 2.8 million square feet and marks its 59th year as one of the most significant agricultural events in the world.

As a Professor Emeritus in Agriculture in Texas, returning after a decade allowed me to observe how dramatically agriculture has evolved. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are now embedded directly into farm equipment. Precision agriculture, autonomous systems, and data-driven decision-making are defining a new era.

Equally inspiring is the growing focus on soil health. Microbials, regenerative practices, university-led educational seminars, and field tours connecting plant and animal systems demonstrate that agriculture is advancing intelligently — with both innovation and stewardship in mind.

A special message from President Trump and engagement with the USDA Undersecretary reinforced the national importance of food security. At one powerful moment, F-15 and F-18 fighter jets flew overhead — a reminder that food security is national security.

But perhaps most memorable was meeting a 94-year-old volunteer still serving enthusiastically at the gate — a testament to agriculture’s legacy and loyalty.

If you eat food, wear plant-based fibers, or use leather, agriculture already touches your life. I encourage you to visit World Ag Expo at least once — and most importantly, take your children and grandchildren.
